Pierre Spataro a commencé à apprendre la musique en 1985, en apprenant la clarinette, le saxophone et la musique de chambre avec Robert Zaprazalka. Après avoir obtenu une maîtrise en littérature, il poursuit ses études musicales en saxophone jazz au Conservatoire royal de musique de Bruxelles avec Steve Houben. En tant que musicien et compositeur, il est actif sur la scène du jazz bruxellois et joue dans le cadre de divers projets allant des standards du jazz au hip-hop et à la musique électronique. Il est membre fondateur de Oyster Node, où il a rencontré le batteur de Samy Wallens the Commander Spoon. Il a été membre fondateur de Rue des Pecheries (groupe de jazz instrumental/hiphop de Bruxelles) et collabore donc depuis 2007 avec de nombreux artistes hip-hop belges sur scène et sur disque. Il a également été actif sur la scène belge de la musique électronique en mélangeant le jazz et l'enregistrement électronique expérimental avec le Skiv Trio, Bishop Dust, Khartung.

Born out of perpetual motion, Lupo Spaccaro, Pierre's moniker for this newly adpoted identity, took shape between London, Amsterdam, and Brussels. With feelings scattered across the crossroads of these European metropolises, Pierre Spataro embarked on an initiatory journey tinged with a hint of mysticism. A child of Sicilian immigration, witness to industrialization and its inevitable decline, the artist was forged in an in-between space—where the North Sea and the Mediterranean share waves of melancholy and countless reasons for being. Much like André 3000's recent artistic metamorphosis (formerly of OutKast), Lupo Spaccaro's music heals the wounds of the past with a sharp sense of introspection. A shape-shifting effort carried by a levitating saxophone, Lupo Spaccaro’s EP follows in the lineage of Sun Ra’s intergalactic explorations. Between cosmic free jazz, electronic constellations, and transgenic influences. The record also benefited from mixing at Pink Bird Studio, an East London reference where albums by Alfa Mist and Nala Sinephro have taken form.
